Nous Tous

“Nous Tous is an artist-run gallery and community space located in Chinatown, set amongst the larger Downtown Los Angeles area. The gallery’s name “Nous Tous” is a French phrase meaning “All of Us”. Forth + Back translated this ethos of unity and gathering by creating an identity that felt connected in its typographic execution. Furthermore, all typography was chosen for its references to the surrounding architectural flourishes of Chinatown. The absence of any particular brand color was meant as an invitation for the community to enter into a dialogue with these applications and ultimately fill the gallery space with the many diverse colors of the outside world.”

Bunsen

“We have been working with the guys from Bunsen over the past couple of years. The most recent project we designed for them was a new premises on South Anne St. in Dublin’s city centre. The client wanted to change the branding slightly from that of their other two premises and we decided we wanted to continue with a 3 dimensional type logo. With each premises having it’s very own logo and branding, the letter ’B’ becomes the main focus of the logo and is used throughout the branded collateral. This was also part of custom illuminate projecting sign that we designed alongside the project architects abgc. We also commissioned an animated version of the logo as a teaser to be used on social media in the run up to the launch of the new premises. We are working on further projects with Bunsen and will add more project images very soon…”

River Valley Estate

“YourLand is a Melbourne-based property developer with a large portfolio that stretches across mid-Western Victoria. Their passion and focus on developing thriving, liveable communities allows them to inspire family targeted projects that weave a rich social fabric into any location.YourLand set us the task of rebranding their River Valley estate in Melbourne’s inner Western suburb of Sunshine North. The aim was to appeal to a multi-cultural second home buyer, refreshing the suburb’s perceptions and ensuring a more vibrant portrayal of the River Valley estate and its surrounds.

“The natural element of the Maribyrnong River gave rise to the flowing ‘R’ and wave pattern, while supporting photography worked to combine and create a stand-out visual offering for this unique development. We provided an entire suite of digital and printed collateral throughout this ongoing project from designing the website to neighbourhood flyers, events and merchandise. We also designed the River Valley Information Centre, a central meeting point for events for the existing community as well as a sales office and display suite.

“It was important to cultivate a vision of the community and its future to increase the area’s popularity and diversity for home-buyers and investors. Since the rebrand there has been record interest in the River Valley estate and successful community involvement.”
