Mary Barrett

“A hair and grooming cosmetics product range launched by Mary Barrett and The Gentry. The branding was introduced as a fresh take on the existing Gentry work that we worked on previously, but it carries its own entity. The logo was drafted with inspiration from the founder’s initials and simplified into a symmetrical mark that is adaptive and scaleable when in situ as a living brand.”

Oleson

“John Oleson is an electrical engineer who also has an extensive background in sales and client services. When John launched his business, Oleson Sales, his focus was on electronical equipment. He asked us to create an identity that could scale to other industries as his company grew. With its diacritical marks, the logo serves as a pronunciation clue for John’s name and is also a nod to his Scandinavian heritage. The two Os, the L, and their diacritical marks break out into a secondary, smiling logo, which provides a touch of levity and literally serves as the company’s face on social media. Letterpress printed on bright yellow Colorplan paper, the stationery system is bold, tactile, and impossible to miss. Thanks to Nomadic Press for its letterpress work, and to Ken Friberg for photographing this project.”

Mob

“Mob is a furniture and interior design studio based in Mexico City. We were commissioned to design the studio’s new visual identity, generating a neutral, contemporary language with clean, firm gestures, while maintaining expressive elements that convey the brand’s essence and emphasize its principles of design, quality and international projection. Inspired by the Basis typeface family, Mob’s graphic language is based on the layout’s structure applied in most printed and digital elements. Its textures and color accents were inspired by recurrent industrial design materials such as wood, marble and stones, creating a vivid and dynamic contrast.”

“The circle is the most primitive and simple shape but yet so powerful, profound and full of meaning. Since the first human looked up to the sky and saw the sun, the moon, the planets and the stars, the circle lies in our dreams, in our nature, and it has influenced in every creation by men and women.

“We decided this shape to be the starting point for the Final Frontier image. The stars as our final destination.”

Scandinavian Clinic

“With the fierce competition in the dentist clinics market our client needed a strong and convincing identity for his Scandinavian Clinic. Located in Poland, the Clinic specializes in services for Norwegian patients – we wanted to make them feel at home.

“We developed the entire concept from logo and colour scheme, via printed materials and website, till interior wayfinding signage.

“Cool and simple. Inspired by geometrical shapes of the northern folk art and blue and grayish colours of the sea weaves we conceived this logo.

“Medical character is also emphasized by monospaced typeface counterbalanced by warmer and friendlier serif Bodoni 72.”
