Brass

“Brass channels the bureaucratic and administrative into a subterranean hide-away, housed in a historic Police station.

“Metallic ink, official seals and document stamps send the message that the top brass expect protocol to be followed, even after they knock off. Menu backs appropriate the material and aesthetic of etched plastic municipal signage. The naming and copywriting imbue the project with a firm sense of place, celebrating Somerville and its proud ’Villens’.”

Interchange

“With ambitious plans to rejuvenate Camden’s business culture, Interchange aims to attract a new breed of creative technologists to the area with its 8,400m2 development. Spread over three sites, the challenge was to create a brand that affirms Interchange as a gamechanging service-focused professional partner that can facilitate growth in the creative technology sector by providing a premium service culture and inspirational community culture. Working closely with managing director Vanessa Butz, we consulted on brand proposition with a differentiated service and experience strategy, and created the identity scheme that ties the three spaces together. The development targets the creative technology industry, which is a sector in transition from start-ups to mature mid-sized companies that identify success with Interchange’s luxury service offer and experience. We delivered a robust yet flexible identity system that imbues trust and integrity across all printed and digital collateral and that can be applied across internal and external environments.”

Rivertown Lodge

“Rivertown Lodge is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Hudson, New York. Celebrating the surrounding landscape and creative community, the brand identity brings out the best of details found in the great outdoors. Textures are evocative of classic camping materials such as tent canvas, speckled enamel dishware, and patterns from nature. The logotype serves as the foundation for three interchangeable lock-ups, creating a flexible yet considered system referencing Rivertown’s crafted yet down-to-earth nature. The brand is further brought to life through a suite of custom collateral pieces, produced by Brite Lines, chosen to reflect the lodge’s own use of classic, raw materials – from wooden pens and pencils, to engraved brass lighters.”
